Fledgling female angel investor outfit Scale Investors has made its second investment in the high-tech sphere, with a deal to provide an undisclosed amount of seed funding to Brisbane software start-up See-Out.
Established last March with a three-year, $600,000 grant from the Victorian Department of State Development, Scale comprises 35 female and five male angel investors. Its remit is to provide female investors with opportunities to invest in technology start-ups run by women.
A spin-off from the national research agency NICTA, with a founding staff of three, See-Out fits the bill.
IT is an area where women have often lagged. Here’s a new initiative designed to identify potential women-lad technology businesses and provide seed funding to bring them along to fruition.
