A great article at Huff Post bringing us up to speed on gender equity in the workforce:

In hindsight, I’m quietly confident that Hilary hasn’t shattered the Glass Ceiling. If anything, it has been reinforced with 3″ thick plate glass! It is telling about western society that it is more prepared to have a male African American President even if he only represents less than 15% of the population than a woman who represents a 50% demographic. Hilary seems to polarise the population more.
The statistics are illuminating and unsurprising. Women are increasingly outnumbering men at the graduate level yet are still underwhelming in numbers of leadership roles. The talent is there but so are the blocks.
What will it take to see women better represented at higher levels in society and the workforce? This article may give you a few clues, including what is being done today to redress the balance. Go read it.
