Women in ICT: Making The Case

women occupy only less than 20 percent of positions in the majority of #ict occupations.

Speaking from an Australian perspective #it is an ongoing battle to encourage girls and women into Maths and Science.

A consequence of that is women are neither well qualified nor drawn to many roles in the ICT industry.

A further complication is the drop out rate of women in the profession.

This article argues why continuing efforts are needed to ensure #gender diversity in ICT and offers some suggestions on what needs to happen for that to occur.
